It was not bad, but it wasn't also the biggest thing. Maybe I will rent the original one to get the taste of the simple times with less saturated F/X....

I honestly didn't feel anything (good) either...
But I also felt the same about EPII until I saw it again for the second time on the weekend I actually ended up liking it. (Nothing has and ever will change my opinion of EPI)
It's gonna take time, but I think it will grow on me. A good movie shouldn't require time... but I'll live with it.

We're going to see it tomorrow. Supposedly the "digital" version. It suppose to be 15 minutes longer and only 3 theaters in Michigan have the capability to show it. Or so the wifey says. She heard a local radio show promoting it. I looked up the theater online and it says nothing about "digital" anything.
Well, the entire movie was shot digitally if that helps with the possible deception. [img]biggrin.gif[/img]
Yeah, there's a few theaters here that are showing it in the digital format. Supposedly it makes a huge difference in picture quality, especially on movies that were filmed digitally in the first place.
Although i haven't heard anything about an extra 15 minutes... maybe it's an extra 15 minutes of commercials...
Saw it yesterday and was entertained. It's no masterpiece, but I wasn't expecting much either. As it has been stated it was definitely better than the previous two movies. But, I like spore, saw Episode II again and liked it. Episode I hasn't improved in my eye, but they were closed having fallen asleep the two times I've viewed the movie.

Anakin becoming Vader was one of the funniest things I've seen in these movies. When he asked for Padame in the Vader voice just sounds like something Vader wouldn't say. And the yell in Vader voice was rather cheesy. Oh, and the Frankensteinesque breaking of chains gave me a chuckle. Sorry didn't mean to babble "stream of conscious" thoughts.

I watched Episode 2 at Star Southfield in the "digital" theater and at a non-digital theater and didn't notice that much of a difference.
And I didn't hear anything about the extra 15 minutes either
